Perfect training grounds for arctic conditions with a wild landscape with both mountains, tundras and large lakes. Would you like to learn more about winter camping? Are you dreaming about longer expeditions, but you feel you would need more knowledge  and training before going solo. Then join us, and learn from from dedicated instructors.

ABOUT THE COURSE

The course is designed for you whom are a beginner or simply want to learn more, and our goal is that after five days with arctic training  will give you the knowledge to plan and execute a tour that will last over a week in arctic conditions safely.  We will do exactly the same as we would if we where to go on a longer expedition tour, either walk over Børgefjell, Hardangervidda or crossing Greenland. We walk on skies while pull a pulk (sled) during the training we will cover navigation with the use of GPS, map and compass, tent rutines, use of primus and much more. The arctic training will be based over five days, during the week or over a long weekend. We have also shorter trips over 2 days, as a taste of the arctic. Our courses are held by in the Børgefjell nation park vicinity of Namsskogan & Røyrvik in breathtaking nature. Don’t be surprised if you will observe reindeers, wolverine, polar fox or the aurora borealis (northern lights) on our winter arctic tours.
